A few years ago, Dwight Toews and several other members met at a parts store and got to talking about how great it would be to start a car club in Carstairs. This idea grew over several weeks, with word traveling to all the gearheads in town. It wasn't long after this that Dwight decided to have a meeting to see how receptive the potential members would be.

 

To Dwight's surprise over 35 people showed up for the meeting. It is no secret that this meeting snowballed into a full fledged club with over 32 members signing up that night. Fuel Junkies Car Club was born on May 23, 2011.

 

Within 3 weeks we had recieved invites from the Town of Carstairs and the Beef & Barley committee to put on show & shines. Needless to say on Canada Day we had a small show & shine with our members cars. But our largest challenge was to put on a Show & Shine during Beef & Barley Days.  And as they say the rest is history. We have now host an annual Show & Shine and 100' Drag during the Beef & Barley Days festivities.
